Open CoreUI is a lightweight Rust rewrite of Open WebUI that eliminates dependencies on Docker, Python, PostgreSQL and Redis. It provides the same frontend interface with a more efficient Rust backend, using less memory and requiring lower hardware resources. Currently in early development with basic chat functionality.
Available as two independent clients: a desktop application for personal use with native windows, and a backend server CLI for deployment with browser access. Supports Windows, macOS and Linux on both x86_64 and aarch64 architectures. Download binaries from releases page in DMG, DEB, MSI or EXE formats.
